In Genesis 1:14, GOD tells us that He gave us the Sun, moon, and stars to separate night from day and to serve as Moedim which means “the appointed time.” Unfortunately theologians have limited God’s purpose by interpreting this word as “Seasons.” Moedim is the same Word that the scripture uses to describe the purpose of the Festivals; most specifically for Yom Kippur when the sins of the nation were to be atoned. We know that the stars do not determine the seasons. So why was the word seasons used? It has little contexual value after all the message was given to Moses while he was in the wilderness under all the “lights in the sky.” Most of those lights were the stars. God says he will be using the lights in the sky as a Sign of His appointed times. An example of God setting an appointed time was the Sign of the Bethlehem Star to mark His first Coming, as a baby named Jesus. He also gave us the “Great Sign of Revelation 12” to Mark the time of His 2nd Coming as the King of King, and Lord of Lords, Jesus the Christ.
All of this is important to understand for God is warning us today that His appointed time is soon to come. The Pandora’s box of evil, with its demonic attack led by an angry Satan is underway. Each month we have seen an escalation of this evil and wickedness. The stage is being set for the war that will allow the Anti-Christ to take control and for the Tribulation to begin. And so it makes sense that God is trying to warn us that we must escalate our efforts to save the lost and bring our loved ones to the Lord. Of course the Greatest Gift that God has given us is His Son. For God so Loved the World that He allowed His Son to die for payment of our sins, so that anyone who believes in this Gift will not perish but will have eternal life.
He is the Way, only Way, and has prepared that path for us. He is LOVE. In His love He gave us the Way and the Means to have fellowship with Him so that we can have a new Life now and into the future with Him. He is super Good for he will never leave you nor forsake you. He is Omnipotent and therefore, there is no higher authority or power. He has unlimited power that will never be restrained, exhausted nor weakened. He is Sovereign and has a Plan for you that He has prepared. He loves you so much that He offers you a Light to push back darkness and a sword to defeat past, present and future evil that comes against you and those you love. Right now He is preparing the World for his final stage which will include the Anti-christ and the divine Judgment of evil and wickedness. So seek Him with all Your heart, mind, and soul.
